The town of Churchill is full with vibrant characters that make the ‘polar bear capital of the world’ truly special. Kelsey Eliasson, “Polar Bear Alley” tour company owner and founder, is one of those characters with more than 25 years of experience walking with polar bears and with a vast knowledge of the town’s history, wildlife behavior and general insights. Being a wildlife filmmaker and a visual artist too, Kelsey’s behavioral knowledge of wildlife will ensure you get the best sights of them for you to capture your perfect memories.

As part of our commitment to a sustainable future. a portion of your tour cost goes toward carbon offsets through our partnership with Plan International’s “I Am A Girl” program. This donation assists to populations on this planet that are most affected by climate change and may not have the same resources to adapt to the ‘new normal’ as many of us enjoy. Elevating all humanity to equitable and fair lifestyles is by far the best solution for our environmental challenges.
Protection & Wellbeing
Besides our clients safety and well-being, wildlife’s is our priority. Each encounter with wildlife, specifically polar bears, is focused on reading the animals comfort level and understanding how they communicate – we are very familiar with different age groups and how they respond to different stimulus. Mothers and cubs or big sparring males, we take an approach to wildlife that is respectful but also one of camraderie – your guides are always excited to share the why’s and why nots of what we are doing with bears.
Small Group Tours
We keep our groups small—maximum nine clients with a 3:1 guide ratio—so that you receive personalized attention and the best possible wildlife experiences. Our photo tours use 4×4 trucks and broncos so that each client has their personal space and their own window – it is a big difference from travelling in a van with windows that do not open.
Expert Guides: Our guides are not only knowledgeable about the wildlife but also committed to your safety and enjoyment, ensuring every moment is filled with learning and wonder.
