Day 1 – Arrive in Winnipeg:
Winnipeg Manitoba is the ‘launch point’ to Churchill and approximately a 2.5 hour flight – however flights and weather in bear season can be highly variable. For this reason, we have secured a charter flight with Calm Air to be as close to ‘guaranteed’ departures as the north can get. Guests will enjoy the first night at
the Lakeview or Sandman Hotel near Winnipeg Airport.
Day 2 – Fly to Churchill, check-in to accommodation and first bear tour:
We aim to book morning flights for clients to Churchill each season so we can add another full day of polar bear viewing – however this is all dependent on weather… which you will see is a common theme…
Days 3-7 – Full day polar bear tour:
Each day, we leave at sunrise and return at sunset – polar bears are seen with a very high success rate and lately, wolves, wolverines, caribou, foxes, seals and other species are becoming more common. Each group can decide if they want a field lunch to stay out all day or if they would like to return to the BnB for a
break.
